Come and explore key questions – both ancient and contemporary – about God, Science & Philosophy

      How can metaphysics help us today?


Dr Andrew Beards and Dr Timothy Walker lead the teaching team for this course. Dr Andrew Beards is the Academic Director of the School of the Annunciation, and has published and lectured widely. Dr Timothy Walker is the Director of Philosophy at SotA and specialises in questions regarding Science and Religion.

When does it start? 

Two dates:  28th February - 3rd March 2019  |  7th - 10th March 2019

The Conference begins at 5.00pm on the first day and finishes at lunchtime on the last day. Full Room and Board included in the cost. The programme is designed to include lectures and seminars set within the rhythm of daily prayer of the resident Benedictine monastic community.

Accommodation: Northgate House

The course takes place in the tranquillity of the monastic surroundings, on the banks of the beautiful river Dart, and includes full board and en-suite accommodation at Buckfast Abbey's Northgate House

How much does it cost?    

£345 with a registration fee of £50 payable upon application. For those who wish to attend only the classes, there is a day-rate of £60
