Who leads the course?

Dr Denise Oliver and Dr Christina Pal lead the teaching team for this year’s Spring Theological Conferences.

Dr Oliver is the Director of Theology for the School of the Annunciation (SotA). Dr Oliver has been a lecturer for the Pontifical Council on the New Evangelisation, and she has lectured in various dioceses of the UK and abroad on grace, prayer, the virtues & gifts of the Holy Spirit, and spiritual direction. Prior to joining SotA, Dr Oliver was a professor at the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome, teaching courses in Spiritual Theology for the Licentiate programme.

Dr Christina Pal is a convert to the Catholic faith and has a Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome. Dr Pal has lectured in the UK, the US, and Rome on various topics in Apologetics, Evangelisation, Discipleship, and Spiritual Theology. Prior to joining SotA, Dr Pal worked as an adjunct professor of Theology for the Augustine Institute online, and for Christendom College’s Rome Programme.

Two dates:  28th February - 3rd March 2019  |  7th - 10th March 2019

Each Conference begins at 5.00pm on the first day and finishes at lunchtime on the last day. Full Room and Board included in the cost. The programme is designed to include lectures and seminars set within the rhythm of daily prayer of the resident Benedictine monastic community.

Accommodation: Northgate House

The course takes place in the tranquillity of the monastic surroundings, on the banks of the beautiful river Dart, and includes full board and en-suite accommodation at Buckfast Abbey's Northgate House

How much does it cost?    

£345 for one conference with a registration fee of £50 payable upon application. For those who wish to attend only the classes, there is a day-rate of £60
