This course is designed for all who wish to learn more about philosophy and the relationship between reason and faith.

Dr Andrew Beards and Dr Timothy Walker lead the teaching team for this course. Dr Andrew Beards is the Academic Director of the School of the Annunciation (SotA), and has published and lectured widely. Dr Timothy Walker is responsible for overseeing the development of philosophy courses at SotA.

When does it start? 

The Conference begins at 5.00pm on Thursday 15 August and finishes at lunchtime on Sunday 18 August. Full Room and Board included in the cost. The programme is designed to include lectures and seminars set within the rhythm of daily prayer of the resident Benedictine monastic community.

Accommodation: Northgate House

The course takes place in the tranquillity of the monastic surroundings, on the banks of the beautiful river Dart, and includes full board and en-suite accommodation at Buckfast Abbey's Northgate House

How much does it cost?    

Cost of the conference: The fee for the four days is £345. This fee includes accommodation and full board at Buckfast. In addition, there is a non-refundable registration fee of £50.

Early Bird Discount: £50 off for those who register and pay in full before 15 May, 2019.

Day-rate (lectures & lunch included): £60.
